Project Manager

Job Profile
To manage and coordinate all phases of construction projects and assure project specifications are being followed and work is proceeding according to planning and provide management oversight on progress.

Reports to
The Director Projects & Sales.

Responsibilities and tasks
The Project Manager core responsibility is to manage and coordinate all phases of construction projects and assure project specifications are being followed and work is proceeding according to planning and provide management oversight on progress.

His responsibilities and tasks include the following:
• Develop cost-effective plans, planning and schedules for completion of projects enabling timely delivery to customers observing all safety regulations
• Oversee performance of production and contractors and reviews engineering drawings to make sure that all specifications and regulations are being followed
• Realize customer satisfaction through pro-active and timely communication on project progress, quality and timeliness
• Proactively identify changes in project scope and ensure appropriate measures are taken
• Purchase of materials, subcontractors in close collaboration with Purchase Director
• Manage and administrate construction contracts, holding track and control specifications, risks, deficiencies and – if necessary - obtain necessary permits and licenses
• Manage and realize a proper administration of construction contracts including accurate project documentation, budget control, control of hour and project results, holding track and control specifications, deficiencies and risk management
• Hold weekly project meetings reporting on planning, progress and deficiencies or deviations on budget, technical matters, safety violations and measures taken
• Take an active role in and improve the collaboration and communication between project team enabling smooth project realization
• Supports Product Manager and Co-Foremen Factory on efficient and safe production techniques

The Project Manager brings – or is willing to develop - the following competences, skills and knowledge:

- has good technical, organizational and analytical skills
- has knowledge and takes interest in aspects such as
- management of projects
- risk management
- construction methods
- technical knowledge of welding construction
- SHE-regulations and awareness, VCA, ISO standards

Assessment on
Employee will be assessed on the following targets:
- Timely reporting of project results
- The quality of products
- Safety and healthy environment and employee behavior
- Customer satisfaction
- Delivery according specifications

We Ask
Master/Bachelor’s degree Mechanical Engineering (or comparable) or proven experience on this level.
At least 5 years of experience on this level in similar business and position.
Experience in maritime/offshore markets.
Stress resistant, proactive, flexible and open minded.
Decisive, accurate and excellent communication.
Excellent skills in Dutch and English communication.
And you have to be good at table tennis.
